 Job Description

Job Title:        Inside Sales    

Reports To:   Regional Manager or Sales Manager

 

Primary Duty and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Sales Support 

  • Communication with key branch customers regarding application and technical questions
  • Source product
  • Update survey
  • Improve operations through customer surveys
  • Research historical sales to support team
  • Follow up on outstanding quotes
  • Attend sales meeting
  • Responsible for timely submission of necessary information for reporting purpose.

Key Account Management  

  • Provide customer support
  • Communicate to receive orders for products and installations via fax, e-mail, phone or from sales staff
  • Delegate the processing of orders accurately and timely to CS team
  • Research order history and review inventory for availability
  • Communicate order status with outside sales staff
  • Interact extensively with vendors, customers, and any other person or group
  • Emulate MIR style, philosophy, and persona; drive new account development through marketing collateral with assistance of sales team and management. 

Sales Management  

  • In addition to the above duties, the inside sales position is responsible for the quality and quantity of work processed for customers assigned to their branch
  • Responsible for all customer related tasks not specifically assigned to the customer service team or sales representatives.

  • Projects a professional and courteous demeanor when communicating with supervisors, co-workers

Education and Experience

Bachelors degree preferred for consideration: 1-2 years of related experience also strongly preferred; industrial distribution experience a plus.

 

Mathematical Skills:

Position requires ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

 

Computer Skills:

Position requires ability to understand and utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).  Experience with an ERP Software strongly preferred.
